Glossary : A selection of odd words that may or may not have reasonable meanings.
Chapter : A length of play consisting of a several scenes. Generally one story arc, comparable to a single season of a TV show like Over the Garden Wall. At the end of a Chapter, there will be a few XP handed out and some voting for Best In Show.
Scene : A length of play usually consisting of a single event at a single location, comparable to a single episode of a TV show like Over the Garden Wall. There misht be XP at the end of a scene, if something quite special happened, but probably not.
Sidebar : Things effecting the game that happen outside the main Chapter boards like spending XP, Chats with NPCs and IC chats. Comparable to things that happen off camera during an episode of a TV show like Over the Garden Wall, that the audience doesn't get to see at all, like when Wirt spends hours and hours writing poetry and studying architecture.
XP : A very small number of points you'll get for solving puzzles, completing quests, character development, and occasionally for being just really hilarious. Like when the frog get's a record contract in the TV show Over the Garden Wall. I'd totally give out 1 XP for a stunt like that.
Roll (Thing) : Roll Strength, Roll Virtue, Roll Wit+Craft:balloon animals. Whatever the (Thing) is, Roll (Thing) means to add up the value of the thing and roll that many dice. In the TV show Over the Garden Wall, when Beatrice convinced the boys to follow her to Adeaide, I would say "Roll Charisma+Fast-Talk", and she'd totally nail that roll because who doesn't trust a talking bluebird?
s : The letter s. Except here, it's generally followed by a number like "1s", "2s". It stands for "Success", usually 8, 9 or 10 on a d10. Many rolls will be 1s, and if it's not specified, 1s can be assumed. Occasionally, the number of s required will be an utter lie, like in the TV show Over the Garden Wall where it's really very easy - say... 0s - to entertain Townies with an improvised song.
Yee : An Old English term, meaning "you". This word never appears in the TV show Over the Garden Wall, so I can't imagine why it would ever show up on this board.
